Easy Mushroom Roast

 

Ingredients:

  • Button Mushrooms  – 250 gms or 1pack
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Onion  – 1 no. (thinly sliced)
  • Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Black pepper powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala -1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Gram flour- 1/4 tsp each
  • Bread crumbs (sprinkle if available) 
  • Clove, cinnamon, cardamom – 1 no. each
  • Curry leaves
  • Olive oil
  • Unsalted butter –  1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

 

Method:

  • Clean and cut the mushrooms into quarters
  • Heat olive oil or vegetable oil in a kadai and add unsalted butter.
  • Add the spices ie., clove, cinnamon and cardamom.
  • When the flavor comes out, add ginger garlic paste . Saute it
  • Add sliced onions and little salt and fry till it turns golden brown.
  • Now add the mushrooms and fry till the juice comes out of it.
  • When the colour changes to golden brown add all the above mentioned masala powders.
  • Saute till the mushrooms are well coated with this mixture.and turns little dry.
  • Season with salt.
  • Finally add gram flour. Sprinkle  and stir bread crumbs if desired.
  • Serve hot.
