Ingredients
- Shrimp/Prawn – 1 lb (approx. 0.5 kg) (medium size- shelled and deveined)
- Oil
To Marinate
- Chilli powder – 3 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Fresh ground Pepper powder – 1.5 tsp
- Cornflour -1 tsp
- Lemon juice – from 1 lemon
- Salt to taste
Method
De-vine and Clean the prawns/shrimp and gently squeeze off excess water
Coat them evenly with the marinated mixture
Keep it aside for 1 to 2 hours.
Heat oil in a kadai.
If you wish add two or three curry leaves and sauté, just to give an aromatic South-Indian flavor,
Now add the prawns and fry till the colour turns to golden brown.
Note:
1. Care has to be taken that the shrimp is not overcooked, as it will ruin the juiciness and make it rubbery
2. If desired add, chicken 65 masala to the marination to experience a different flavor. 🙂
