Ingredients
Thinly sliced chicken breast pieces – 2 nos. (big slices)
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Butter 1 tbsp
red chilly -1 no
Spinach – 1 pack
Jeera seeds or powder – 1/4 tsp
Oil
Foe Chicken Marination
Chilly powder 1 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
pepper powder 1/2 tsp
salt to taste
Method:
- Marinate the chicken pieces with the above said ingredients. Prick the chicken pieces with a fork or tooth pick here and there.
- Keep it for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil and then add butter.
- Add the ginger garlic paste and little salt. Saute it until the raw flavour goes away.
- Shallow fry the chicken pieces and keep aside.
- Spinach stuffing
- Heat little oil in a skillet.
- Add chilly and jeera. When this splutters, add Spinach leaves.
- Add salt and cook for few minutes.
- Now place a layer of cooked spinach over the chicken piece. Add grated cheese.
- Roll the chicken piece and seal it using toothpicks.
- Preheat the oven to 375 F
- Bake it for 35 to 40 mins. Check in between and turn the sides for even baking.
- Finally check if the chicken is cooked well and juicy enough. If needed bake it for few more minutes.
- Serve hot.
This is a fusion dish. But it did turn out really well!
