Condensed milk paalkova (Microwave method)
This is a very simple and swift recipe. Those who crave for a dessert recipe without painstaking process can very well make use of this. I guess many would have known this already. However, thought of posting this so that it may be helpful for beginners in cooking.
Ingredients
Condensed milk (400ml) – 1 can
Plain thick yoghurt/curd – 1.5 tbsp
Ghee – 2 tsp
Method
Pour condensed milk in a microwave bowl. Please ensure that the dish you use for preparing, is a wide-mouthed and flat bottomed microwavable glass/ceramic bowl.
Add yoghurt/curd and mix well. The consistency of the curd used should be thick and not watery. Keep mixing until the mixture is free of lumps.
Now microwave it for 2 minutes. The microwave setting I used is ‘High’. Take out the bowl, mix well and add a teaspoon of ghee and stir well again.
Put in the microwave oven and heat again for 2 minutes. Take it out and stir at frequent intervals if needed. Again add 1 tsp of ghee. Stir well and repeat the step for 2 more minutes.
Now, add the remaining ghee and microwave for 1 more minute.
You may stop at this stage if you are satisfied with the consistency. In my case, I did microwave it for few more minutes since I wish to a have more thicker consistency. Don’t forget to stir in between this whole process.
Rest it for sometime until it cools down. Transfer it to a serving dish and here you go with simple, quick and tasty Paalkova.
