Sometimes we need an external factor to transform ourselves from sluggish mode to crafty mode, and in my case, that particular factor is mostly my son’s school project.
He wished to participate in the Valentines day box contest, I was blank initially and as always after teaming up with my son and surfing the web, we like this ipad theme. Once the idea was fixed, we made our own modifications and ended up with this very simple box to hold the Valentines day stuff from his friends.
Things you need include, a shoe box,duct tape, black acrylic spray paint, few printouts, stickers and deco tape.
Spray paint the old shoe box. I have used black since that was the order given by my son. 🙂
Let it dry completely. Make it stand on some aluminum foil or hang it in order to avoid smudging and getting messed up.
Print out the ipad theme usinggoogle search.
i searched for an Apple logo to stick it up on the rear side. Got it printerd out, cut up and pasted it.
Since I had some trouble to stick the paper to the acrylic painted base using glue, I have used double sided tape/glue dots.
Make a slit on top for the cards to slide in. If the edges are rugged, use a deco tape to conceal it.
Add stickers of your choice.
Voila! You made it!
